2 Week Appointment

Carson had his 2 week Dr. appt today at 16 days old. He is now 8 lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long. He’s growing like a weed!! I’m sure it has something to do with his voracious appetite! I think he eats more that Steve…and that’s hard to do! They say he still has a touch of jaundice…we can’t tell though…so we have another appointment in 2 weeks to check the jaundice again.

He has been such a great baby! He rarely fusses much, is still a great eater and sleeper…I actually got 5 consecutive hours of sleep last night…don’t worry I don’t expect tonight to be the same :) But I’ll enjoy those nights when it happens! He loves playing on his activity map and is so alert these days. He already has such a strong neck and is always lifting his head up to look around.

We are all doing great. Steve went back to work this week and my mom is hanging out with us this week. We’ve taken a couple of walks down to the grocery store since the weather has been so nice. It’s been great having my mom around to help with switching laundry around and helping with the cooking and giving me a chance to take a shower! Next week I will be on my own, so that will be the real test.

We had newborn pictures taken last Friday. He was a little grumpy at the beginning of the shoot…he hadn’t napped quite as much as maybe he should have before hand, but he was a pretty happy camper by the end of it so I’m sure the photographer was able to capture multiple moods and faces. We can’t wait to see how they turned out.
