Carson is now six weeks old (as of yesterday). He had his 6 week appt this morning. Here are his stats:
Length: 21.75 inches (25%)
Weight: 11lb 2oz (75%)
Head Circumference: 38 cm (25%)
He got 4 vaccine shots and a drink this morning. He loved the drink and screamed when they gave him the shots but was over it in less than a minute. Hopefully he isn’t too grumpy for the rest of the day…so far so good
He smiled a “real” smile for the first time last Monday at 5 weeks and 1 day. And has started to laugh in the last couple of days. Of course he rarely does either for the camera or video camera!
Steve has been feeding him a bottle at bedtime and putting him to bed for the last two weeks or so…some nights go a little smoother than others as far as the bottle goes. We’re still working on it, but it has gone better than expected. He doesn’t seem to care if the bottle is warm or cool…but cold straight out of the fridge didn’t go over so well.
He seems to be transitioning to sleeping closer to 6-6.5 hours at night which has been nice, but won’t always go back to sleep after that. I guess 5:30 am isn’t so bad…could be much worse!
Steve and I did a mini photo shoot with him yesterday. Here are a couple of pictures

What a big boy! 6-6.5 hours is great! I would have killed for that at 6 weeks old! Can't wait to see you guys... less than 2 weeks!!

What a cutie...can't wait to see him at Christmas. I agree with Trisha...I would have killed for that much sleep at that age! Glad all is well with you guys.
I can't believe he has grown that much. You are very lucky parents to have such a good baby. Can't wait to see him again at Christmas.
