We started off by celebrating with Steve’s family the week before Christmas. Unfortunately Steve’s mom was very sick and couldn’t make it, but Steve went over to her house before and installed a webcam for her so she can see Carson more often. It’s been great!! This was the first time our nephew Shawn met Carson. Carson really liked him. Shawn was holding him like a pro. It’s all that practice he got with his little sister! In addition to Steve’s sister’s family, her husbands parents…aka Grandma and Grandpa Kavanaugh celebrated with us as well. Here are a few pictures from the occasion.

This is the cute Santa bag (which Santa can use for many years to come) and the stuffed Rudolph from Grandma & Grandpa Kavanaugh.
On Tuesday Carson and I headed out pick up Auntie Susan, Uncle Leevi, and Cousin Adam at the Oakland airport and drive up to Nana & Papa’s house. The weather was actually decent on Wednesday and Thursday and we were able to go to the beach and to Old Town Eureka. This was Carson’s first trip to the beach.
Wednesday night we had dinner with the Brody’s which is always fun!

Steve flew in on Friday. Carson was happy to see his Daddy!!
On Christmas day we took family pictures since we were all together and are not sure when that will happen again!

Now that the year is over, it’s time for me to go back to work. Tomorrow is my first day back. Still not quite sure what my schedule is going to be like, but it’s going to be a lot more difficult to go back to work than I thought it would be!! I’ll let you know how it goes! Steve’s going to be watching Carson this week, so it will be an adventure!

Love all the pictures. It was wonderful to have everyone here for Christmas. It was the best Christmas present ever. Hope everything goes well for you on your first day back to work.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the family pictures! They turned out sooooo good! So glad you got visit with your family for Christmas! I hope your first day back at work went ok -I know how hard it is to go back! Hopefully we'll be able to get together soon!
