6 Months

Today was Carson’s 6 month appointment. He is doing great! Ears are all clear now which was good news!

He’s in the 50th percentile across the board.

Head: 44 cm

Weight: 17 lb 3 oz

Height: 26.25 in

He’s sitting by himself (and has for a few weeks). He’s getting closer to crawling, but it will probably be a few weeks yet. He’s squawking like crazy. We call him the little pterodactyl.

He LOVES his food. He eats absolutely everything! This was the first week he ate food at daycare and the first two days I didn’t take enough food for him! Since I’m making all his food it’s frozen in ice cube trays. All total he’s eating between 12 and 15 “ice cubes” of food every day…probably about 12-20 oz of food. He’s had beef, chicken, turkey, cauliflower, green beans, peas, sweet potato, butternut squash, carrots, rice, oatmeal, apple, blueberries, banana, peas…I’m sure I’m forgetting some. I’m going to have to mass produce his food on the weekends to keep up with him…so tomorrow we’re off to Costco to buy a Vita Mix. I burned up the motor in our blender last night Sad smile Can’t wait to see if it’s as good as people claim it is…if it’s not it’ll go back. I’m not going to pay that kind of money for an “okay” product!!

He also LOVES his baths. He splashed all over the places and tries to drink the yucky bath water out of the little cups he has.

He is so much fun these days. Steve and I feel so blessed to have such a happy easy going little guy.

Love the new picture over the fireplace. She did a great job.
Carson is growing up too fast.

That's awesome that he is such a good eater! And good for you for making his own food!

dang! He is a good eater! Jack only eats about 6-8 ice cubes a day. I use a stick blender instead of a regular blender and it works pretty good.

I'm glad he's such a good eater...but holy cow he's going to eat us out of house and home before he's 1!!

Jen, I've been experimenting with the blender, stick blender, food processor and food mill. The new Vita Mix is great!! Before that the stick blender seemed to work better than the regular blender. But Steve was afraid I was going to break it after I broke the blender :)
