Fall 2011

This has been such a great fall! In fact I think this weekend is really the first “cold” weather we’ve had.

Mid October we went to Apple Hill with Steve’s mom. Apple Hill is just east of Placerville. It was a gorgeous day…actually quite warm! Carson went on his first pony ride.. which he loved!! His pony’s name was Blackie. He walked around in the pumpkins (and blended in) and ran around in the field a bit. We also got some delicious apples and apple-y baked goods…apple fritters, apple doughnuts, and apple strudel. We made some apple sauce that weekend too.

Carson picked out a little pumpkin and the night before Halloween we carved it. We kept it simple since the attention span was quite short. He wanted to play with the lid and bang the spoon around inside.

And finally on Halloween we went trick or treating with his little friend Sofia and her parents. The kids had a good time. They wanted to walk into everyone’s house. It was pretty cute!
